Curta Partners with The Peterson Health Technology Institute (PHTI)

By 2030, the global digital health market is expected to reach $1.5 trillion. Despite this explosion of new innovation, most digital health tools have limited published clinical evidence on the clinical benefits and economic impacts.  The Peterson Health Technology Institute (PHTI) was founded in 2023 to provide independent evaluations of digital health technologies to improve health and lower costs. Curta was selected as a partner to the PHTI to provide independent health technology assessment evaluations of innovative digital health technologies. Working with expert partners, such as Curta, PHTI will apply an innovative assessment framework, specific to digital health technologies in the US market. PHTI was founded with a $50 million grant from the Peterson Center on Healthcare, a healthcare philanthropy committed to making higher quality, more affordable healthcare a reality for all Americans. PHTI aims to deliver evidence-based assessments that will analyze the clinical benefits of digital health solutions, as well as economic impact, effects on health equity, privacy, and security. PHTI’s initial assessment framework was developed in partnership with the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER), a recognized leader in health technology assessment.

We are elated to bring the methods and expertise that we’ve developed and honed over decades in the pharmaceutical space to this rapidly evolving field of  innovative technologies.
